MEET THE CANDIDATE
Anthony 'Tony' Morelli
Anthony 'Tony' Morelli has built his life around service. From the United States Navy to Town Hall to the neighborhoods, schools, churches, and ballfields of Clifton Park, Tony has spent decades leading, giving back, and working to make his community stronger.

Why I'm Running
I am running for Clifton Park Town Supervisor because I believe our town deserves steady, experienced leadership focused on residents and results. My time on the Town Board has shown me what is possible when people work together with honesty, preparation, and respect.
I have had the opportunity to navigate complex issues, advocate for our town, and help deliver results. I want to build on that work by keeping Clifton Park safe, fiscally strong, and true to the quality of life that makes this community such a special place to call home.
Experience in Town Hall
Appointed to the Clifton Park Town Board in October 2020 and elected in 2021, Tony has already earned a reputation for thoughtful, effective leadership. He was appointed Deputy Supervisor in January 2021 and served as liaison to the Open Space, Ethics, GREEN, Tree, and Historical Preservation Committees.
Tony's experience inside Town Hall runs even deeper. He previously served as Deputy Town Attorney and Counsel to the Planning Board. He has also served on the Environmental Conservation Commission, Zoning Board, and Industrial Development Agency, where he was both a member and later Chairman.
On behalf of Saratoga County, he serves as the Chairman of the Capital Resource Corporation, helping provide low-interest and tax-exempt financing to not-for-profit organizations throughout the county.

Military Service
Tony is a retired Commander in the United States Navy with 21 years of total service. A native of Ballston Spa, he graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Albany and attended RPI on a Navy ROTC scholarship, earning a bachelor's degree in biology.
After graduation, Tony served on active duty for 9 years as a Surface Warfare Officer, including assignments on three warships and at the Pentagon. He later continued his service in the Naval Reserves, where he was mobilized twice to United States Central Command. His military career earned numerous individual and unit awards and commendations before his retirement in 2021.
Attorney and Advocate
Tony is an attorney admitted in New York and Florida and operates a solo practice with a focus on family and criminal law. He has represented children and families in matters involving custody, neglect and abuse, adoption, juvenile delinquency, and family offense proceedings.
He has also represented clients in a variety of criminal proceedings and courts. Tony maintains a law office in Clifton Park and serves as an Officer of the Saratoga County Bar Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Italian American Bar Association.

Professional Experience
After leaving active duty in the Navy, Tony moved to Clifton Park with his family in 2005 and began working at General Electric. His work there included roles in manufacturing and compliance until 2019, when he left to launch his law practice.
Community Leadership
Tony believes public service starts close to home. He served as Booster Club President for the Shen Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Over the years, he has also served as Treasurer for the Tesago and Acadia PTAs, Treasurer for the Shen Council PTA, and was honored with the Shen Council PTA Honorary Life Award.
His community involvement also includes service on the board of Miss Shen Softball, coaching softball, Clifton Park Little League, and Clifton Park Soccer at the Commons. He has volunteered as a Cub Scouts Den Leader and as a "Cookie Dad" for Girl Scouts.
Tony currently serves as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Edward's Church and previously taught in its Faith Formation program. He has also become an usher at Starpoint Church and volunteers with Wellspring, where he offers free legal advice to victims of domestic violence. He is also a proud member of Elks Lodge #2466 and a member of the American Legion and VFW chapters in Halfmoon.

Family and Education
Most important to Tony is his role as a dad. He is the proud father of 3 children. Andrew is a graduate of Syracuse University (Whitman School of Business), working as an Acquisition Analyst in Manhattan and serving as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. Morgan is a junior at Sacred Heart University majoring in exercise science and competing in cross country and track. Addy is a senior at Shen and runs on the cross country and track teams and is committed to Sacred Heart University in Fall 2026.
In addition to his bachelor's degree from RPI, Tony has earned an MBA from George Washington University and a JD from Albany Law School. Having called Clifton Park home for more than 20 years, Tony believes his education, professional background, town government experience, and passion for service make him ready to lead on day one.
